Between Coffee, Cats, and Art.

Hello! This is Aline Buru, or simply Buru =)

I’m carioca (from Rio de Janeiro-Brazil), passionate about animals, music, and nature. My mind is in constant abstraction, seeking to express the inexpressible through art and design.

My journey began when I was studying music and decided to create a CD of electronic music with classical influences (yes, back in the CD days! Haha). I had a clear vision for the cover of this CD, but I doubted anyone could materialize it exactly as I imagined. That’s when I discovered the world of graphic design, researching how to create art for CD covers. Initially, I only planned to take a course to learn, but during the entrance exams, I decided to enroll in a design university and received a scholarship.

I graduated in Graphic Design, Illustration, and Digital Animation from UVA. Shortly after, I delved into the world of Surface Design and Textile Printing at FACAMP, continuing my journey.

For the past 9 years, I’ve been diving into creating graphic projects such as visual identities, printed/digital communication materials, textile printing, illustration, and animation. I believe everything we see has the power to transform.

Every stroke, every color, every movement communicates something beyond the visible. What do you want to communicate? It’s about purpose, sensations, and experiences.

I’m always seeking knowledge inside and outside my field to keep my perspective ever-expanding, as I know that simply mastering software isn’t enough. Creating with purpose demands more: it’s the alchemy that turns ideas into reality.
